​​The Moipu 240EFI head is designed for professional and continuous use. It is lightweight (350 kg) yet durable and robust with low operating costs and low maintenance costs. Thanks to the knives cut, work is not interrupted due to chain or flange change. Even in the most challenging conditions, the cutting blades last about 1000 operating hours. For maintenance, it is enough to sharpen the blades. Replacing blades at the end of their service life is very easy and quick thanks to bolt fastening.

The Moipu 240EFI energy head is designed for efficient energy wood harvesting when speed and reliability are needed. It can be used for small thinnings, cleaning roadsides and field edges, and removing scrub.

With the Moipu 240EFI energy head you can cut, accumulate and load, without having to change the head between work phases. Blades on the delimbing knives and tilt enable vertical pruning.

The Moipu 240EFI head is ideal for energy wood operations with dense brush, small trees and scrub. Fast and reliable knives cut the trunk of a tree up to 25 cm in diameter with a single cut and even larger bundles of light brush.

The Moipu 240EFI energy wood head is equipped with Multi Tree Handling pliers (MTH), which allow several tree trunks to be accumulated simultaneously in one handful. As a result, work is done faster and unnecessary back and forth movements - and therefore fuel costs - are reduced. Damage to standing trees can also be avoided by reducing movement.

​Thanks to the strong tilt and MTH pliers that support the trees in an upright position, allow stable and controlled handling of bundles during thinning. The head is safe to use even in demanding places. The strong tilt and large opening of the delimbing blades also allow for efficient loading, so you can do all the necessary work steps with the same tool.

The Moipu 240EFI energy head is suitable for installation on forwarders and tractors.

The tractor can be used in many ways with the right equipment. It is typical that part of the year the tractor works in agricultural work, tillage work or other contracting. Year-round use, i.e. productive months of use of the machine, can be increased by equipping the tractor also for logging.

When you install the Moipu 240EFI energy head on your forwarder, you can increase its working hours even when it is not needed in a chain alongside the harvester. A forwarder equipped with an energy grapple can handle many smaller tasks, such as small thinning and tidying up roadsides and field edges. The maintenance and transfer costs of a single machine will also remain moderate, making the prices of even small contracts competitive and profitable for the contractor.

Genuinely simple installation without electrics

The Moipu 240EFI (Electric-Free Installation) energy wood head operates entirely without electrics! Thanks to its electric-free design, the 240EFI is a truly universal tool — compatible with a wide range of base machines, regardless of the manufacturer.

Electric free installation makes it simple and the head can be installed on all machines with double-acting hydraulics. This makes the installation very easy. You only must attach the head to the rotator and connect grapple open and grapple close hoses to the side or bottom of the rotator. Now you are ready to work! 

​Thanks to the quick installation, the head can be switched from one machine to another in the middle of the job, and it is not tied to just one machine.

The use of the head is easy to operate. You only use two buttons: grapple open and grapple close. Logic in the hydraulic block makes sure that you feel as if you have always been using it.

Pressing grapple close -button makes the loading knives shut, the shear cuts and the head tilts down.
Pressing grapple open -button makes the loading knives open and the head tilt up.

Accumulation function is operated when you stop holding the grapple close button after the head has cut a tree. After this, open the loading knives with grapple open button and take the head to the next tree.
