FEEDING HEAD FOR ENERGY AND PULPWOOD HARVESTING

​Moipu 300 F1 head is the most efficient solution when harvesting energy wood and pulpwood, with average felling diameter under 20 cm.  The head cuts 30 cm with one cut, but in this tree size saw bar starts to be more efficient choice. 

The 300 F1 energy head comes standard with tree length and diameter measurement, making it perfectly suited for fiber wood harvesting as well.

You can install the head to harvester, excavator or forwarder. Installation is simple and inexpensive. You can use an existing control system to control the head. Alternatively, the head is controlled using the Moipu Control system.

VERSATILE FEATURES OF THE 300F1 FEEDING ENERGY HEAD

As an option you can get rotator control from the head and stump treatment. Wide feed rollers ensure good feeding of multiple stems and good accumulation. Large opening of the delimbing knives eases working and enables efficient loading. With the help of strong tilt, you can maneuver bundles of trees while working in thinnings.

FEEDING ENERGY WOOD HEAD TO HARVESTER, EXCAVATOR OR FORWARDER

 
​Due to the strong structure of Moipu 300 F1 head, you can install the head to a wide variety of machines. The grapple can be controlled with the machine's own control device. Alternatively you can use Moipu Control system, which contains everything you need for installation.

Easiest is to install the head to harvesters, which already have hoses and control system ready. When you install the head to a harvester you will need original harvester head module.

When installing the head to an excavator, you will need to install pressure, return  and overflow hydraulic lines to the boom. In addition to this, you will need also a protection hose for the electric cable.  The excavator also needs a control system for the head. Moipu control system provides everything needed for the control of the head and installation.

Forwarder demands the most from the installation, but when the installation is made properly, you will get a really efficient unit for small wood harvesting. Like in the excavator the forwarder needs hoses installed to the boom and a control system. In addition to these loading space should be altered for best outcome in thinnings. Bunks should be made sliding and guard screen tilting. With these alterations you can do forest roads reversing. When the road is finished tilt the guard screen up and slide the bunks back and you are ready to fill up the loading space. ​

Stump treatment

A stump treatment device is available as an accessory for the Moipu harvesting heads. The device can also be retrofitted. The stump treatment device includes nozzles with hoses, on both sides of the head in connection with the cutting blades.

The stump treatment device is controlled by the measuring device of the base machine. The spraying works automatically in connection with the heads cutting function. The nozzles spray the pesticide simultaneously, which spreads it evenly on the stump.

The prerequisite for the stump treatment device to function is that the machine has a tank for the stump treatment agent, a pump and a hose connection to the head.
