​HEAVY DUTY shear

4500 EFI shear is designed to be installed into 14-20 t. excavators. With the head you can use your excavator for cleaning up roadsides, field sides and other demanding energy wood locations. Thanks to the spark-free cut-off, it is also ideal for areas at risk of forest fires.

Large opening, compact structure and powerful shear makes this head efficient even in the most demanding locations.

POWERFUL SHEAR

Moipu 4500EFI cuts with two blades. The angles of the blades sink into the wood with great power and presses the wood against the head's frame.

​Small trees are cut fast with smaller power. For larger trees the blades slow down, while the strength increases. You can cut up to  45 cm tree at once!

SIMPLE INSTALLATION and operation logig

​EFI (electric free installation) heads operate without electricity. The head works on open/close lines. Assembly is easy and fast. Just attach the head to the excavators' quick coupler and attach two hoses. Recommended pressure and flow for the head are 200-250 bar and 100-120 l/min.

​The operating logic of the head is build around the hydraulic block. Once you press the head closed -button, the grapples first move towards closing. As the pressure increases, the cutting blades begin closing. When the tree has been cut, you press head open -button. Blades open first completely, and after that the grapple jaws.

multi tree handling optio

If the head has been upgraded with multi tree handling kit, it will process automatically after the cut.  With the help of the MTH kit, more trees can be processed at the same time. The clips also support the trees from above, allowing the bundle to stay upright better and work more stable.

SAFE TREE HANDLING

​The operating logic ensures safe handling of trees. Grapple jaws always have strong grip on the tree, which ensures that the tree won't fall down uncontrollably. Grapple opening is 130 cm.

Thanks to the spark-free cut-off, 4500EFI shear is also ideal for areas at risk of forest fires.​

You can process several trunks at once with the multi tree handling clips. Move the trunks to the stack in at the same time, reduce work phases and speed up your work.

The slewing drive allows the grapple to rotate freely 360 degrees, enabling you to position it exactly as you need. This feature makes it possible to work on slopes and to cut branches or treetops of problem trees with ease.
