Moipu heads combines operational reliability with low operating and maintenance costs, thanks to its strong structure and simple operating logic. Moipu heads are suitable for demanding professional tree felling, from thinning to problem wood removal, depending on the head model.

The energy head options suitable for excavators vary in their features, with the main difference being the installation method. Some models are mounted directly onto the excavator arm (fixed installation), while others are installed using an extension boom as a hanging installation.

Installing Moipu head on the excavator

It is important that the excavators crane can lift the head and the weight of the wood so that the stability of the machine remains good, even if the head is used at the maximum reach of the boom. Another important point is that the excavator's oil output/flow is at a sufficient level for the head to perform at its best.

There are options for controlling the head according to the heads operating logic. The EFI head works without electricity with the grapple open/grapple close lines, RC head work either with the grapple open/grapple close or with pressure and return lines and radio control. The 300F1 needs pressure, return and overflow lines, as well as a control system, such as Moipu Control.
