​Dividing your loading space enables you to separate different tree assortments in the forest. This way your driving gets faster and easier. With the Moipu Sorter you can easily extend the effiency of your forwarder. 

Sorter separates tree species in the forest

Moipu Sorter is a solution that brings significant benefits to the use of forwarders. It allows the forwarder's load space to be divided into two or three compartments, which makes it easier to separate the tree species already in the forest and makes the transport process more efficient.
 
By separating the tree species already in the forest, several different types of timber can be transported in the same load, which makes the work faster and more efficient during the loading, transport and unloading process. The separation of different types of wood makes it easier to store and handle, which is important when timber is used for different purposes, such as energy production or the sawmill industry.
 
More efficient transport and handling reduce fuel costs and improves machine utilization, leading to significant savings in the long run. In addition, when the time between the felling site and the roadside storage can be reduced, wear and tear on the driving tracks is also avoided and the forest floor is saved.

Simple installation

The Moipu Sorter sorting pliers are easy to install. Installation can be done without expensive modifications, such as welding or drilling. There are several Moipu Sorter models, which make them suitable for different forwarders.  See the list of models currently in production at the bottom of the page.
 
The Moipu Sorter sorting pliers are sold in pairs. The markings LEFT and RIGHT indicate which side of the panko the pliers are attached to. There are several mounting points for the pliers, and they are presented in the Sorter installation instructions.

Fastening plates are first installed around the forwarder's bunk, to which the sorting pliers are attached. All parts are bolted to the frame of the bunk. It only takes 15-30 minutes to install one pair of Sorter pliers, and you can do the installation yourself. If necessary, you can also change the Sorter from one forwarder to another.

Sorter is easy to use

When installed, the sorting pliers are in either up or down position. The position is easy to turn as needed by pushing with a timber grapple or a bundle of wood. Changing the position does not require getting out of the forwarder or tools.

When there is no need to separate wood species and the Sorter is not in use, there is no need to remove it. When the Sorter is turned to the down position, it is lower than the panko, so it is not in front and does not take up space in the load space. 

In the down position, the Sorters clamp is lower than the bunk, so it does not take up load space and is protected.

Position of Sorter is easy to change with a grapple or a bundle of trees, so that both clamps on the same side turn at the same time.
