Spikes of Moipu Steel rollers are made from Hardox. The wear resistant material ensures long lifetime for the spikes and makes the structure strong.
Open structure makes the roller lightweight. This is very important when the weight of the head is on the limit for the crane and base machine. The less weight you have to move around, the more efficient you will be. Gaps between the spikes allow bark to go through the roller. This way the spikes always go through the bark and have good grip.

Good quality, even with thicker bark
Moipu Steel roller will not slip even with thicker bark. Open structure prevents the roller clogging up with the bark. The spikes have a 11 mm stopper surface. The spikes will not go deeper than this. The spikes will have enough grip for even most demanding situations, but still will do good quality!
Spikes are symmetrical, so the rollers will not slip even when feeding backwards.
